A Steady, Helpful Presence for Retirement Paperwork
Vestwise was built on a simple idea: that everyone deserves to feel calm and in control of their own documents, without needing a degree in finance to get there.
Back to HomeHow Vestwise Came to Be
Vestwise started in Khon Kaen after its founders noticed a recurring pattern: people approaching retirement — many of them long-term international residents in northeast Thailand — had boxes of pension correspondence they had never felt comfortable opening. The paperwork was not particularly complicated once explained, but the unfamiliar terminology and dense formatting made it feel inaccessible.
In 2019, a small team with backgrounds in adult education and document management began offering informal group sessions in the city. The sessions were well received and grew through word of mouth. By 2022, Vestwise had established a permanent base at our Mittraphap Road office and formalised its three core service areas.
Today, Vestwise supports individuals, couples and community groups across Khon Kaen province. Our approach has not changed: we explain things in plain language, work at the pace the person in front of us needs, and leave every session without having given a single piece of financial advice. What we offer is understanding and order — and that, it turns out, is quite enough to make a real difference.
Our Mission
"To give every person — regardless of their financial background — a calm and clear understanding of their own retirement documents, and the practical means to keep those documents well organised at home."

What We Stand For
Plain Language
We never use jargon without stopping to explain it. If something is confusing, we find another way to say it.
Strict Neutrality
We make no recommendations about financial decisions. Your choices remain yours entirely — we simply help you understand the information.
Patience First
Everyone absorbs new information at their own rate. We build our sessions around the person, not the clock.
Respectful Privacy
Personal documents are handled with the care and discretion they deserve. We collect only what is necessary for the service and nothing more.
The People Behind Vestwise
A small, dedicated team with a shared commitment to making retirement paperwork feel less daunting.

Siriporn Watcharapong
Community & Membership Coordinator

Our Standards & Commitments
The principles and practices we hold ourselves to across every service we provide.
Personal Data Protection
Any personal information shared with us is stored securely, used only for the service requested and never passed to third parties for commercial purposes.
Ongoing Educator Development
Our session facilitators regularly review updated pension document formats and plain-language best practices to keep our educational materials current and accurate.
Participant Feedback Loop
After every session we collect written feedback and use it to adjust session content and pace. Our participants shape how we improve over time.
Clear Service Agreements
Before any service begins, the scope is confirmed in writing. There are no hidden extras and no ambiguity about what is — and is not — included.
Accessibility Focus
Our venue is accessible for those with reduced mobility and all printed materials use large, clear type. We accommodate reasonable adjustments wherever possible.
No Advice Boundary
We maintain a clear and firm separation between education and advice. No member of the Vestwise team will ever comment on what you should do with your pension — only what the documents say.
Understanding Retirement Records in Thailand
For many people living in Khon Kaen and the wider northeast Thailand region, pension and retirement correspondence arrives from multiple countries, in different formats, using different conventions. A statement from a UK provider looks nothing like one from an Australian superannuation fund, and both look quite different from Thai provident fund documentation. This variety, while entirely normal, can make it hard to feel on top of things.
Vestwise grew from direct conversations with residents who felt overwhelmed not by the volume of their documents but by the sense that they could not be sure what any of it meant. Our educational sessions address this gap methodically — working through the structure of each document type, the vocabulary it uses and the kind of information it is designed to convey.
Alongside understanding comes organisation. A person who knows what their pension documents mean but cannot find them when needed is only halfway there. Our Personal Paperwork Organising service focuses entirely on the physical and digital arrangement of records — creating clear systems that stay workable over years, not just weeks after a tidy-up.
The Community Membership extends both elements into a longer relationship, giving participants a way to stay informed as documents change in format, as new correspondence arrives and as questions emerge over time. The group setting means that the experience and questions of fellow members become a resource in themselves.
None of what we do crosses into financial advice. We work in the space before that conversation — helping people arrive at meetings with their own advisers feeling informed, confident and prepared, rather than having to explain that they are not quite sure what their documents say.
Come and Say Hello
We are always happy to have a conversation about what you need before you commit to anything. Reach out and we will take it from there.
